Abstract:

The performance assessment of supply chains including sustainability dimensions of economic, environmental and social is a significant aspect for managers and decision makers. Furthermore, imprecise data are presented in many real world applications. Therefore, the current paper proposes an approach based on data envelopment analysis (DEA) to analyze the revenue efficiency of sustainable supply chains when fuzzy measures are present. Actually, a fully fuzzy DEA approach is proposed to measure the revenue efficiency of sustainable supply chains and their members. A numerical example is used to illustrate the introduced approach.

An organization’s long-term viability and competitiveness should not be evaluated solely in terms of financial measures. Investors, policy makers, and other stakeholders increasingly seek to evaluate performance with respect to sustainability—the environmental, social, and economic performance of an organization. But measuring and improving the sustainability performance of supply chains is cha...

Optimization and Evaluation of Sustainable Supply Chains

Increasing environmental concerns together with legislations are forcing industries to take a fresh look at the impact of their supply chain operations on the environment. This paper introduces a mixed-integer linear programming based framework for sustainable supply chain design that considers life cycle assessment (LCA) principles in addition to the traditional material balance constraints at...

On the role of revenue-sharing contracts in supply chains

The supply chain coordinating role of revenue-sharing has, to date, been examined only in static models. With downstream competition, the central conclusion in these models is negative: revenue-sharing cannot, except in degenerate form, achieve coordination. Incorporating dynamics, by allowing inventory carryover in discrete time, this paper establishes a foundation for revenue-sharing contract...
